He came as simple as a child, and as gentle as a nurse caring for little children. He was never idle, but toiled night and day. Giving them this example of his own life... he urged them to live lives worthy of God.”

In 1 Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul helped the Church at Thessalonica look past the pain, persecution and suffering they were experiencing and instead look forward to the promise of Jesus’ return. That was his focus in these 5 chapters. The church in Thessalonica was a young, flourishing church, full of new converts. The problem was that they had some misconceptions about when Jesus would return and it was affecting their daily lives. So Paul wrote this personal and intimate letter to help comfort and instruct the church that he helped establish years earlier.
