God is answering prayers at the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University! As students are anxious to connect and desperate to belong, our teams are meeting them on campus and building authentic relationships.

Here are a few stories of how God is leading our teams to the right students at just the right time:

STORIES FROM CAMPUS

U of A
Evan came to the college wanting a church to grow his faith and his leadership. The next day, he joined our team to welcome freshmen, shared his story, and invited a new friend to our midweek gathering. Next, he started a prayer list for his friends.

A student leader met Priscilla, an incoming ROTC student, and shared her own Battle to Belong story from freshman year. Priscilla was grateful to find someone who understood, is now open to faith, and plans to attend our first midweek gathering.

Our team met Sydney and Madilyn while handing out water and invited them for appetizers on campus. The girls began sharing honestly about their lives and some difficult things they had recently experienced. That conversation built genuine trust, and now Sydney is excited about Survivor Weekend while Madilyn plans to attend our midweek gathering.

NAU
Rudy and Ryan stopped by our frisbee challenge at NAU, surprised to learn our church was welcoming students on campus. Neither had explored faith before, but connecting with God and learning the Bible were already top priorities for their freshman year, now they're excited to start.

Our team invited Julia, an athletic freshman from Alaska, to play ultimate frisbee at NAU. She brought five friends, one of whom is now interested in church. During the game, another called out, “Thank you, Julia, for inviting us! I’m so glad we came!”

When one NAU freshman was asked what he hoped to find in college, he said he wanted to meet people who could help him answer life's biggest questions. The first question he asked was, "What happens after we die?" Our team is now helping him find his tribe to explore that question.
